Experience
Rebecca's first job was at the monthly magazine and website, Moneywise, in 2010 as an editorial assistant covering everything from expert questions to money makeovers. Her next step was to LoveMoney covering day-to-day news on the online website along with compiling the daily newsletter.
Her first taste of the world of energy bills and consumer rights was at MoneySavingExpert, where she was a writer on the utility team and then promoted to head up the insurance team. At the consumer champion Rebecca was involved with writing news for the website, in-depth guides, and the weekly newsletter. She also set up and ran the website's social media accounts, along with a small team of writers. Her final stint in staff-journalism was at ThisisMoney, the financial arm of MailOnline, where her job was writing fast-paced news for this international website.
In 2018 Rebecca made the leap into freelance journalism shortly before having her first child in 2019 and launching her own online baking business. During the coronavirus pandemic she successfully ran her online business baking and posting brownies across the UK, along with her financial journalism for websites including The Sun, The Times, and The Guardian.
Rebecca also expanded her work into pr and corporate copywriting, helping with the pr for several large companies including Direct Line and Barclays.
Her corporate work has included writing for all the four leading comparison websites: MoneySuperMarket, Uswitch, GoCompare, and Confused.com along with writing copy for many large firms including Experian and John Lewis.
In 2021 she moved out of London to Cambridge where she now lives with her two young daughters and husband.
Rebecca has also branched out into other areas of journalism writing travel pieces for Country and Town House and most recently some local news for The Hunts Post.

Throughout her career Rebecca has regularly appeared on many radio stations giving her opinion on various personal finance topics including BBC Wales and Five Live.

Rebecca has worked for all the UK's national newspapers and her articles regularly appear in them. Most recently she has been writing about the postcode lottery of IVF in the UK for The Guardian, the experience of mortgage holders over the last year for inews.co.uk, and the effectiveness of energy efficient appliances for Money Mail. She also regularly works news shifts for the websites Times Money Mentor and YourMoney.
