Experience
Rachel began her writing career in 2004 working on reports for the pharmaceutical industry, before moving on to work at Reed Business Information, covering the petrochemical industry.
At the start of 2007, Rachel became a reporter for Shares Magazine and entered the world of financial journalism, specialising in small-cap stocks.
She developed a passion for consumer finance and saving money when she moved to lovemoney.com towards the end of 2008, where her first article covered the collapse of Lehman Brothers. She was later promoted to deputy editor before going on to spend more than eight years at MoneySuperMarket in a range of editorial roles, including content strategy and CRM, as well as a brief stint as editor of TravelSupermarket.
Rachel went freelance in January 2020, just as the Covid-19 pandemic hit.
