Experience
Harriet started as a journalist in 2002 on the Daily Telegraph's Your Money team as a researcher, soon being promoted to reporter, and then senior reporter. She then moved to the BBC where she worked as a producer on radio shows such as Wake Up to Money and the Today programme.
She's always specialised in personal finance, and has won awards for 'cutting through the jargon' around complicated subjects such as pensions and investments. She's worked as Editor of The Observer Newspaper's Money section, managing a team of freelancers, and regularly contributing to the Guardian Money and Business sections. She was also The Sun's consumer champion column writer for four years, solving readers' money problems.
Outside work, Harriet is a trained yoga instructor, and teaches at home a few evenings a week. She also loves spending time with her partner and two giant British Shorthair cats, and making the most of what London has to offer with regular theatre trips.

Harriet has been interviewed on TV and radio, appearing on BBC Breakfast discussing personal finance topics. She's also been interviewed on BBC Radio Five Live, Radio 4, and other networks on anything from mortgage rates to how to fund retirement.
